Bear?

Windy Day = Nervous Cubs

Comments are off

Bear cubs as well as adult bears become nervous and apprehensive on windy days.  It stands to reason for animals that depend so much on their senses of smell and hearing.  Wind interferes with both of these senses.  On a windy day the cubs stayed very close to trees and easy escape routes into the underbrush.

3 cubs

All three cubs foraged by the trees.

Suddenly the wind blew a flurry of leaves off the trees, causing enough of a noise to startle the cubs.

Skittish, the cubs took off into the underbrush.

When the wind finally died down the cubs were happier.
