As you may know, ABR welcomed a new cub to the facility after she was found in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park just three days ago. The cub had been hit by a car, climbed a short way up a tree, and fallen into the river! Fortunately, her exam at the UT vet school, including several X-rays, showed no broken bones. However, she is emaciated, weighing just 13 pounds. Twinkle, as she was nicknamed, is in the Hartley House. Today’s video starts off by showing Twinkle eating in her room at Hartley House. She is eating with obvious relish, including enjoying the special treats that the curators placed on the climbing structure. The rest of the video shows the cubs in the Wild Enclosures.

Things just keep happening at ABR! We are glad that the cubs are doing well and thriving.
