His Royal Highness Rover Bear, (his name came from the fact that he was the first bear to ride in the brand new Land Rover Defender that ABR had won in a contest last year) was the third yearling to be released on July 11. When he was found in February, he was so small that people on the scene thought he was a cub, but he was, in fact, a yearling. This video tells the story of HRH Rover and his stay at ABR and ultimate release.

Rover is now roaming in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and we hope that this “royal” yearling will stay safe and have a healthy, long life in the wild.
