Bear cubs spend a great deal of their time in trees. They learn the art of tree-climbing when they first emerge from the den in which they were born. Our five-month-old cubs in Wild Enclosure #3 climb up and down so fast it can make you dizzy!

A cub goes up the tree.

Another cub climbs down.

One climbs up high.

And another comes down.

Up and down at the same time (different trees).

Back up they go.

Two cubs pause to rip up the firehose bumpers.

Flapjack stands on his hind legs and towers over Martha.

Flapjack and Thumper are the two largest cubs. They have been at ABR the longest.

The others (even little Doodlebug and Tater) will catch up as time goes on. Stay tuned!
