It’s the 22nd of July, and that means another Cubby Birthday! The cubs are 6 months old today, and the yearlings that were recently released are now 18 months old! How time flies!
Each month is a milestone in the lives of these cubs, so we celebrate every one of them!
Burrito, age 6 months, finds a springy, bendy sapling.
He simply must bend it even further!
Look at his mastery of the springy sapling! But then – Sproing!
What happened? Burrito is puzzled.
But no problem, he finds something with less spring in it.
The boys gather at the Cubby Pool for a pool party.
Thumper and Flapjack stir the water with their paws, just like kids would do.
There is lots of splashing!
The sisters are not engaging in the pool party. They are aloof.
Later, Betsy takes a quick dip and then climbs out of the pool.
In Hartley House, Doodlebug and Tater snuggle on their swing. They have been very patient about their confinement, and seem to be quite content.
As soon as the curators have finished preparing the Wild Enclosure for them, Doodlebug and Tater will be released outside. Watch for it!
