The Three Cubs

We have photos of the three cubs to share with you. As you know, Hops and Barley Bear moved to the Hartley House, and they are enjoying the extra space and enrichment. Bourbon Bear, the third cub to arrive, is still in The Cub Nursery, although we’re sure he won’t be there much longer. We’ll start with Bourbon.

Bourbon now has a stuffed friend in Sister Bunny, who has joined him in his pen.
Bourbon burrows under the mat in the pen. He shows extreme distaste for the curators, and when one approaches he hides.

Now we’ll move over to the Hartley House to see the other two cubs.

The two cubs seem to have become buddies. They sleep together under their climbing thingy.
They can get up and have a late night snack when they want to, and that’s just what they do.
They can also switch rooms when the idea occurs to them.
Look at this! a MOUSE is eating out of the cubs’ bowl!
Wrestling is a big and important part of cubby life.
All of these play activities are developing their strength and coordination.
Unsurprisingly, the deconstruction of the climbing thingy has begun!
Both cubs show their skill at climbing.

We are glad to see that things are going well with our three little orphaned cubs. It will only get more interesting when Bourbon Bear joins the other two in Hartley House. Stay tuned.
