It is quite rare for all twelve cubs to sleep at the same time, but that is just what happened a couple of days ago. In each of the three enclosures that house bear cubs, Every cub was napping! Thus, we had  four sleeping cubs in every enclosure.

Piper Bear looks like he’s dreaming a good bear dream.

Moving over to Wild Enclosure #3 –

Taco and Thyme are too sleepy to do much of anything.

Taco chooses sleep over playing or roughhousing.

All of the “T” cubs were asleep in the same position!

The girls in Wild Enclosure #4  are sleeping in the shade, so it’s harder to see them.

It isn’t easy to find them amid the leaves.

If the photo is black and white, it’s easier to see Sage Bear asleep.

We don’t think it is likely that we’ll see everyone asleep at the same time again. Even in the middle of the night, the cubs get up and go to forage or drink. But don’t they look like angels when they sleep? The same can be said about babies and young children. No matter how rowdy they are the rest of the time, they look just like angels when they are sleeping!
