Wilderness Wildlife Week, an important event for wildlife watchers and outdoor enthusiasts, will take place in Pigeon Forge  TN very soon.  The event kicks off on Saturday January 8th and runs through the next Saturday, January 15th.  Learn all about it here. 

ABR will be represented by a table display in the Exhibit Hall as well as programs presented by various ABR members.  Anne Allison and Kathy Sherrard will present “Bear Ecology” on Sunday January 9th from 9:00-10:00 am and “Coexisting with Bears” on Monday January 10th from 11:00 to noon.  Lisa Stewart, ABR curator, will present “Appalachian Bear Rescue, who we are and what we do”  on  Monday January 10th from 2:00-3:00 pm.  Joey Holt, another ABR member, will lead 2 hikes and present a program entitled “Hug a Tree and Survive” from 3:30-4:30 pm.

Of course, in addition to our programs there will be many other offerings by experts in various fields.  We hope that you can come to see us and enjoy the experience of Wilderness Wildlife Week.
