The curators planned to release the new cubs into enclosures, but plans were changed when Puddin’ Bear didn’t exit along with his sister, Caramel. Instead, the curators hurried him back to the UTCVM where he was thoroughly examined and radiographs taken. The X-rays didn’t show any problems, so he went back to ABR with prescriptions for meds to help with infections and/or parasites. Blood tests will be analyzed on Monday, so we should know more this week. Meanwhile, Puddin’ is back in Hartley House where he is eating well, eliminating well, and sleeping soundly.

Puddin’ is back in Hartley House.

His sister, Caramel, is exploring Wild Enclosure #1.

She hasn’t met the others in the enclosure as yet.

Cricket and Sprout are also exploring.

Of course, they are curious about this place.

The wooden panels break up the space, giving cubs places to hide and to climb up.

Nugget is a fierce and bold little bear!

She doesn’t hesitate to jump into the Cubby Pool. Perhaps she is part seal?

The three cubs are getting along well, but Doodlebug can’t keep up with the other two.

Doodlebug sleeps on the platform, while the others sleep in nearby trees.

In Wild Enclosure #3, all six cubs squish together to sleep on the smallest part of their platform.

Early morning – time to start the day!

Fearless Burrito stands up to Thumper.

All six of the cubs appeared for this photo! That is rare!
