Boudreaux and King B

The two female yearlings were nowhere to be found on the camera footage. Only the two boys were visible. And Boudreaux , though very visible, was stationary for a long time.

Boudreaux Bear in a slumber pose that can make you sleepy just looking at him.
King B was out and about. He took a drink from the Cubby Pool and found something there.
He found a tree root, and took it out of the pool.
The root was a good plaything for King B.
It disappeared! What happened to it?
Aha! King B spots the root.
King B grabs the root again.
He shakes the root like a dog shakes a bone.
This is quite a contest.
The root escaped again! Where is it?
King B spies the root from behind the tree. He’s cautious.
He is a careful little bear, a very good trait in a yearling.
But now King B subdues the root. He is the victor!

It’s amusing for us to watch a young bear at play like this yearling with the root. For King B, it is an activity that helps him to develop skills he will need as a wild bear.
