Beignet’s Routine – Part 2

Comments are off

In our last post we showed some of the wake-up routine that Beignet Bear engages in. Today we continue along that line. There’s more to the routine!

We aren’t sure but it looks as though she is greeting the new day with a song. Don’t her teeth look healthy, though?
Hmph! Beignet is clearly giving us a “bleh!” with her tongue out.
A big yawn to help her wake up.
And more exercise to start the day. Stretch that leg, Beignet!
Ho-hum. She sits back down.
Maybe it’s time for a little nap after expending that effort.
Later – a swim to wake up.

Near the pool hangs the remains of the now-demolished swingy ball. We need to pay tribute to it for valiant service to bear cubs.

It served the bear cubs well until its demise (thanks to those same bear cubs who are now yearlings). It will have to be replaced before the next group of cubs arrive.

Beignet is looking very healthy and is thriving. When she is released we know she will be a fine addition to the Louisiana black bear population.
