On November 28 there was a very good article about the record number of cubs at ABR. Included in the article is a quote from Lisa Stewart, ABR curator, who explains the factors that have contributed to the unusually large number of orphaned bears. While we are always glad to have publicity to tell people about our organization and its needs, we wish that the situation for bear cubs was not so dire at this time.
There is good news, however — the article reveals that ABR is a $25,000 grant winner in the recent Chase Community Giving program. We wrote earlier about the online voting that ended on November 22nd, and we want to thank all of you who voted for ABR and helped us to achieve this goal! It will give our budget a big boost at this critical time. Thank you for your support!
