Today we have another video of the cubs. You can see it by clicking here. The first part shows Bonne Blue and Marvin in their Wild Enclosure, with a glimpse of Ridgeway in the underbrush in back of them. See if you can spot him! The next part of the video shows our yearling, Woody Bear in his own Wild Enclosure. Woody is very hard to see – even the curators seldom actually see him. That is a good thing, since we want him to behave like a wild bear, but at the same time it is frustratingly difficult to share photos of him.
You can also see how far away the curator was when filming, and what a small window he had into the bears’ world. This, of course, is to prevent the cubs from seeing a human and becoming comfortable with him.
