The badly-needed rain is continuing, for which we are thankful. And as for the bears, they don’t mind. Bears take whatever Mother Nature throws at them.
Here is a very wet Juggles. Being wet doesn’t interfere with his sleep!

Wet Juggles on the platform, and wet Nugget up in the tree. We’d like to see her lower down, but she’s a bear!
Wet Turnip and Sprout. You can see how water-repellant a bear’s outer coat is – the water drips right off of Turnip.
Dry Tinsel. She is eating and sleeping, as she was told to do. Good bear!
Tinsel is doing well. Soon her diet will be unrestricted and the curators can think about introducing her to Twinkle. Hopefully they will go into Wild Enclosure #3 together,
Because of the weather, Twinkle is still in the Hartley House. Luckily, she doesn’t seem to feel too confined as of now.
Twinkle seems to be gradually gaining weight. She looks more alert, too!
In Acclimation Pen #1, Caramel sits near an apple.
She scooped up the apple quicker than the eye could see.
Caramel took her apple outside to eat it. Bears always would rather be outside, no matter what they’re doing!
