Tinsel and Twinkle Bear, the two cubs who are still sorting out their relationship, spent the night in one den. It was a very cold night! Were they snuggling together? Was one at one end of the culvert and the other at the other end? We don’t have any idea! As great as our cameras are, they don’t have X-ray vision, so whatever the cubs were doing remains a mystery.

At 9:00 am, Twinkle emerged into a snowy world.

She found a beautiful and delicious apple and it wasn’t even frozen!

Tinsel chose to sleep in and didn’t come out until 11:00. She found some peanuts near the den.

Tinsel shows off her fur coat that keeps her dry and warm. The longer guard hairs in the outer coat shed water while the undercoat is fluffy and soft.

Twinkle, to, is perfectly attired for the frozen world and the fluffy snow!

The girls, like all bear cubs, are equipped for cold snowy days!
