Twinkle and Tinsel are sharing an enclosure, but not too closely. They now have access to both Enclosure #3 and Enclosure #4, since the curators opened the gate between them, but the two girls choose to stay together – just not TOO much together!

Each day begins with the “Tree Waltz,” where they move around on opposite sides of the tree, as they did on the first day.

Tinsel stands and peers at Twinkle. What is she thinking?

The Floating Pear appears for a check on Twinkle’s shape. She’s coming along nicely.

She stopped to play with the swingy ball for a few minutes, but it attacked her and she ran off.

Tinsel hunted for peanuts in the retired Christmas trees.

Meanwhile, Twinkle found a yummy Pool Peanut.

She succeeds in catching it.

Then she went back to the swingy ball.

Twinkle plays with (or eats) peanuts while Tinsel chews on a stick. They keep their distance.

They seem to be happiest when they are high in their separate trees. They spend most of their day high up, snoozing.

And then there is Bits Bear:

As you know, the brother of Bits, Nibbles Bear, died despite the curators efforts to keep both neonate cubs alive. After losing Nibbles, it was decided to move Bits back to the ICU at UTCVM, where he will reside for a few days. Hopefully we will learn what caused the death of Nibbles, as soon as the necropsy is completed.

Such a precious, wee little cub!
