The Fourth of July sisters are adjusting to their enclosure. Curators had worried that they might be too stressed to eat, but fortunately that wasn’t the case.

The girls are eating well, foraging as they should.

They are always alert to the presence of the four boy cubs, however.

When the boys arrived a bit later, Martha and Betsy had left the area.

Thumper is a very relaxed, laid-back cub!

The boys are aware that the sisters are in the enclosure, but it doesn’t seem to bother them at all.

Flapjack is unconcerned as he sits on the platform.

We think the food is better to eat than the firehose on the platform, but to each his own.

Tamale had a nice apple,he stole from his brother.

The cubs are always alert to potential threats.Trees make good retreats, unless you are an extra-brave cub like Thumper.

A few minutes later, the alert is over and the cubs come down but hold onto trees, just to be sure.

Flapjack peers around the tree, to be sure that the danger is passed.

Tamale and Burrito check out the Cubby Pool.

Walking on the edge, Burrito shows what good balance he has.

So fast! The sisters scrambled up the tree in about 5 seconds! They sensed something was out there.

It was just Thumper, strolling by. They’ll get used to him.

Tater and Doodlebug are both doing well. They will move outside very soon!
