Doodlebug Bear has come a long way since she arrived. You may recall that everyone, including curators and UT vets, was very concerned as to whether she would survive. Now, as part of a cubby trio in Hartley House, this little girl is showing herself to be determined and fearless! She practices her climbing on the climby thing in the room.
Doodlebug begins her ascent of the structure.
It takes a while, but she makes it to the top!
She crosses the beam easily.
Doodlebug has good balance and can reverse her direction, too!
She hasn’t yet mastered the act of getting down.
Tamale Bear enters the room briefly, but he is engaging with his brother in a Very Important Wrestling Match! No time for Doodlebug now.
Doodlebug tries her dismount. (We think she’d have better luck going down nubbin first instead of head first.)
She gets down when gravity helps her!
Undaunted, she hurries into the next room to join the two boys.
Meanwhile, in the Acclimation Pen where Flapjack and Thumper are, even though it was raining, they preferred to be outside rather than in their room.
Flapjack investigates the drinking tub.
He decides to go in for a swim!
Splish Splash! Now he is even wetter! What fun!
