All kinds of things are happening today! First, we take a look at the neonate cubs who are still at UTCVM, in the ICU.

Carolina has a loud voice and calls out for feeding! Her vocalizations attract the attention of UTCVM students and staff.

Between feedings, the three little cubs sleep a lot, like newborn humans.

At ABR, Twinkle sits near her nemesis, The Forbidden Tree.

As she has done before, she tries to climb it. Not gonna happen!

She soon finds out that it isn’t climable, but she’s not a quitter!

Starting to leave, she looks back at the tree. What do you think she is saying? Cubby cuss words, perhaps!

“Maybe I can climb from this side,” she seems to think.

In Enclosure #4, Tinsel enjoys the sunshine. That tree doesn’t interest her at all.

Tinsel eats well, climbs well, and minds her own business. She is starting to look quite chubby, too!

The new incubator has arrived! Curators Tori and Bailey remove the packaging.

There are a lot of parts to this device.

Fortunately, the curators read the instructions and can decipher them to lean about it.

Success! The new incubator is up and running, with a humidifier attached to keep the inside temperature just right for neonate cubs!

Our old friend Spud Bear, the stand-in for cubs when needed, is the first to try it out.

Very soon the neonates will move from UTCVM to the ABR Cub Nursery, where they will wait for a possible surrogate mother or mothers. Watch this space!
