As the bear cubs munch their way to chubbiness, they are enjoying grapes, bear pellets, and berries, as well as the insects, leaves, and other natural treats they find in their enclosures. Oh yes, the curators have also tossed yummy apples out there for them! One of the cubs who is particularly fond of apples is Burrito Bear.
Burrito is a handsome little bear.
He finds a lovely apple to eat. If only he had opposable thumbs it would be easier!
He manages to balance it on his arm.

Flapjack and Thumper are the two largest cubs. They like apples, too!
Be quick! If you snooze you lose! An apple can disappear in a flash!
Doodlebug and Tater have sticks and branches to chew on and play with.
We are looking forward to these two finally going outside, although they don’t seem to be stressed after their long time in Hartley House. Thank goodness!
