Clover is Warm and Dry

We have shown you some of the recent wet and cold scenes in our Wild Enclosures. Now we’ll look inside the Hartley House, where Clover Bear is warm and dry.

For a moment, we didn’t realize that the bear on the bed was Not Clover. It looks about the same size as Clover. We can see that the curators have tried a new strategy to prevent her from tipping her water bowl.
When she entered the room, she went straight to the water bowl.
Clover didn’t like the rock in her water bowl, and set right to work to get it out.
Look at that! She’s a strong little bear and succeeds in removing the rock. So much for the curators’ anti-tipping device!
Is it our imagination, or does Clover look proud of herself?
Mission accomplished – now she can eat!

It is always interesting to watch how the bear cubs react to different situations, and how they solve problems. There is no doubt that they are very smart animals!
