As we have seen, the two female cubs in Enclosure #3, Twinkle and Tinsel, have kept their distance from each other. It seemed that cubby friendship and bonding was not going to happen. But on a cold, windy, and rainy night earlier this week, the unexpected happened! This video will show what the camera revealed.
The first part is about the collection of used Christmas trees and how they are used by the cubs. The next part is the revelation of the two cubs snuggling together in a culvert den. The curators were very happy to see them in a safer location rather than high in trees, where cubs often go when it’s stormy!
We wonder if this tentative friendship will expand further, but that’s up to Twinkle and Tinsel. We can keep our fingers crossed!
