This update is the Facebook Live from today (Friday). Curator Tori starts with a brief shot of neonate Carolina Bear, who is still in the ICU at UTCVM. The report from the vets is good – Carolina has gained weight and is now over a pound! She seems to be progressing well. Wildlife officers are still searching for potential surrogate mothers in dens, hoping that it will be possible to foster little Carolina into a den, as was successfully done with Bits Bear a few days ago. The rest of the video shows Tinsel and Twinkle, the two yearlings who share Enclosures 3 and 4, They are very different from other cubs and yearlings we have cared for in the past, but it just goes to prove that bears are unique individuals with their own personalities.
