We start today’s post with our newest arrival, Nugget Bear, at the UTCVM where she received her intake exam.
Dr. Cushing and team did a thorough examination.
Curator Haley assisted in the exam.
Nugget weighs 18.7 pounds and her health is good. Her Mama was taking good care of her.
She didn’t like the confinement in the Cub House, but finally settled down and ate, and then slept.
She will have to stay in the Cub House for three days, to take her deworming medicine.
In Hartley House, Doodlebug and Tater slept well. Soon they will be outside!
The bunches of greenery and the apples will keep them busy until then.
In Wild Enclosure #3, the day starts with a wrestling match, as usual.
One of the cubs starts the process of trying to move the safety log.
Push, pull, roll – it will take a while, but no doubt will be accomplished.
Here are four of the six cubs in the enclosure. The other two disappeared into the underbrush.
