In the last few days, we have seen what was not expected – the two yearling girls, Twinkle and Tinsel Bear, playing like (dare we say? NORMAL)yearling bears! Ever since they first entered their Wild Enclosure, now expanded to two enclosures, they did not warm up to each other. Each yearling kept to herself, except for sleeping in the culvert den at night. But as if a switch had been turned on, all of a sudden they have been playing together during the day,and it seems to us human observers that they are having FUN!
It’s good that they have warmed up to each other and we believe that they will continue to enjoy their new, playful relationship for the rest of their time at ABR.
