Some of the “wild” cubs

Yes, it’s true — this morning two more cubs were admitted to ABR!  They are a brother and sister, and since the male weighs approximately 20 pounds and the female weighs about 15-18 pounds, they were released directly into the large enclosure with the 9 larger “wild” cubs.  The newcomers are not in this photo, as we don’t have a picture of them yet, but they are about the size of the cubs that are seen here.  Although they won’t need the special formula and soft foods that are provided for younger, smaller cubs, the fact that we now have 16 little mouths to feed makes our need for funds that more critical.   Please help us with donations of money or gift cards (Kroger, Wal-Mart, IGA) that can be used to purchase the foods that all the cubs need to grow strong and be ready for release later in the fall.  They must weigh at least 70 pounds in order to be released back into the wild, so they have a lot of eating to do!  Thank you again for caring and for helping us feed the cubs!
