We want to thank the many donors who help to make ABR successful in our mission to rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned bear cubs for release back into the wild. As a nonprofit organization that receives no government money, we depend on the generosity of the supporters who donate to our cause.
You may wonder what how your donation to ABR is used. Here is a list of items that various donation amounts can fund.
$100 will provide solid foods for a cub or yearling for 1 month
$50 will provide formula/solid food for a weaning cub for 2 weeks
$25 will provide formula for a non-weaned cub for 1 week
Gift cards (Wal-Mart, Village Market IGA, Food Lion, Food City, Kroger, Walgreens) in the amounts of $25, $10, or $5 allow us to purchase perishable foods, medications and supplies as needed
Wildlife officers have predicted that in a couple of months there will be a large number of cubs emerging from dens with their mothers. Sadly, some of these cubs will be orphaned in one way or another, and we have been told to expect some of them to be brought to ABR for care. In order to be prepared for these new arrivals, we are trying to stockpile supplies. Your donations will help us to save the lives of needy cubs. Thank you in advance for your help!
