NABC (North American Bear Center) has 2 den cams on their website.  It is fascinating and very educational to tune in and watch.  One of the den cams is in the den of a wild female bear with her cubs that were born on January 21st.  Also in the den is her yearling cub, who was born in January 2010.  We are learning a lot about how mother bears behave while hibernating with their cubs.  There are periods of activity, and we can hear the sounds of cubs squealing as well as the nursing hum.

The second den cam is in a den shared by 2 male bears that are permanent residents at NABC.  Unreleasable in the wild, these 2 are on display during the summer and fall, and it is interesting to see them interact with each other and with an adult female that is also in the enclosure.  These 2 bears are much less active in their den than the female with her cubs.
