Goodbye, old homestead. I’m outta here.
Gotta make sure we have all the goodies.

These are among the last photos of the Trio on moving day, as they leave the pen in which they have spent the last month, to enter the big world of the 1/2-acre enclosure.  They each received a de-worming treatment and a dose of antibiotics, and then the door was opened so they could enter the much larger area.  When they are outside, they will no longer receive yogurt, applesauce, or formula, but will be weaned to a fruit-and-vegetable diet.  These foods will be thrown over the fence, so the cubs don’t see a human delivering the fruits and veggies, and they will have to forage in the vegetation growing out in the enclosure.  Another step forward toward their eventual release!
