On Saturday, November 8th the Louisiana wildlife officers came to reclaim the two cubs they had brought to ABR last May.  The photo below shows the workup on one of the cubs.

If you think the bear in the picture looks rather big to be called a “cub,” you are right.  When they arrived in the spring, the female weighed 7 pounds and the male weighed 5 pounds.  They went home to LA weighing 70 and 89, respectively.  They were well fed while they were in our care!
