Enclosure Work

With no bears onsite, the work is proceeding on the new Wild Enclosure #5. Today we have a couple of photos to show the work, and also the very steep terrain that is our facility.

The excavator finished its work, after a busy week. It was time for it to go back to its “home.”
Whoa! Curator Coy says the facility is uphill whichever way you go – this proves it!
Curator Quanah is sterilizing the much-used platform to get rid of parasites and prepare for the next group of cubs. She uses heat for the sterilization process.

As we can see, the crew at ABR is still busy, as they accomplish the many tasks that are required between now and the arrival of the first bears of 2022. Keep checking.
