Today we are lucky to have an up-close (thanks to the camera’s zoom lens) photo of Woody. The curators call him the “disappearing bear,” due to his habit of staying hidden in the trees or underbrush whenever they go to feed him. Curator Coy was able to get this photo when Woody actually appeared for a change. One photo was all he could manage, though.
Woody Bear is doing well. and with his demonstration of appropriate wild behavior we are sure that he won’t get into trouble (in other words, become a nuisance bear) when he is released. Isn’t he a handsome fellow?
