Our educational event, Black Bear Expo, was held in Townsend TN on Saturday, June 26th.  We had a great turnout, despite extreme heat that made everyone quite uncomfortable.  This Maryville Daily Times article tells about the Expo, showing a photo of Chuck Cooper, the professional photographer who demonstrated to visitors the correct methods for taking pictures of bears and other wildlife.  Viewing the short video will give you an idea of some of the activities that took place.  The first couple of scenes were shot inside the Visitor Center, where stained glass artists that were not a part of the Expo, displayed their wares, but during these scenes the voice you hear is that of ABR president Jack Burgin, talking about Appalachian Bear Rescue.
