On June 25, ABR received two cubs from Fentress County. They are #337 (Lemon Drop) and #338 (Cosmo) Bear, and they are five-months old like our current residents. Lemon Drop is a female who weighs 26.4 pounds. Her brother Cosmo weighs 26.6 pounds.Sadly, they were orphaned when a landowner shot their mother after she broke into his dog pen. After their intake exam at UT, the sibling cubs will probably be in Hartley House for a few days before they are released into a Wild Enclosure.

Lemon Drop is the first female in the 2021 class. We’re sure that these two little cubs will get along well with the original three. Stay tuned.
