Katherine Tucker is a talented artist and photographer who lives in Sevierville, TN. You may recall that she donated the proceeds of her raffle of a signed and numbered print of one of her bear paintings to ABR during Wilderness Wildlife Week in January. Recently, she was out taking photographs of wildflowers, when she came upon a bear in a garbage dumpster at a picnic area in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She sent us the link to her blog, where you can see the photo of this beautiful bear.
It is sad that some humans are so unthinking as to put a bear in harm’s way. Please be sure that you dispose of trash and garbage properly when you picnic!
