. . .of the cubs and of a curator. Lots going on, as usual.
The day starts as most days do now – the three cubs are asleep in their cubby pile. Night or day, the cubs do what they want, when they want to. It’s early to rise, to begin their day. Investigate the blue ball, work on log-shredding, climb to the top of the climby thing. Later, the gate is closed for cleaning purposes. The little bears are curious about the closure. Curator Coy is cleaning the other room. When they hear a human, the cubs hide, as good little bears should do. Room service! Coy brings in fresh food and water bowls, enough for all of them. Up goes the gate, and in come the cubs. Despite the fact that there are enough bowls, a fight breaks out over one of them. One way to take possession is to sit in the bowl! Trying another approach, all three cubs eat from one bowl. At last, each cub settles down with his own bowl. End of story – three full and happy cubs, doing what cubs do. Each day in the Hartley House is the same, but different as the cubs explore, eat, try new things, eat, and eat. After all, their mission at ABR is to chubbify, and they are off to a good start it seems.
