It was a very rainy day. and the cubs were predictably up the trees (except for Nettles, who is snug and dry in the Hartley House).
Thistle Bear, who had tangled up the swingy ball the other day, returned to the platform to fix the problem. He’s a clever bear!
He returned to the scene of his problem and studied the tangled ball.
He was certain that he could fix it.
We could almost hear him thinking that if he knocked it off the platform, it would be fixed.
Just as Thistle solved the problem, Taco photobombed his moment of triumph! But we must credit Thistle for problem solving!
Wet cubs on the platform in Enclosure #1. Luckily their fur coats are water-repellent!
Wrestling bears brought traffic on the Tire Bridge to a halt.
It was difficult to count the five cubs in Enclosure #3, but with the help of the arrows, there they are, racing across the enclosure.
Not bothered by the rain, Nettles slept on Not a Polar Bear.
She kicked him out of bed, but they were sleeping in the same position.
She is starting to play with her toys, like this ball. Good sign!
Nettles is doing well. She is in hyperphagia, like the others, and is trying to catch up with them.
Just an interesting shot of Taco, who had just come out of the pool and climbed up a tree, dripping water as he climbed.
Another interesting day at ABR!
