A few days before Christmas, a special gift came to ABR.  The gift was an underweight, two-year-old bear from Louisiana.  Lisa, our curator said that Kris (Kringle) had arrived, not driving in a sleigh, but riding in a culvert trap.   Our lonely RA, who was the only bear on site after Big Momma’s recent release, bonded with the new arrival in a matter of days.  Now, with the real winter weather we have had lately, the two young bears have become buddies and are denning together.
