As promised, here is the video of the meeting between the two cubs, Thumper and Flapjack. It was not surprising that they took to each other immediately – cubs of this age (3 months) are wired to interact with others of their kind, since they are usually part of a litter of two or more cubs when they are born. Of course, we don’t know the family circumstances of these two, but by their reaction to each other, it’s safe to assume that each of them had at least one sibling. Enjoy the video!
The third COY, Doodlebug, is still much too small to join these rowdy boys, but after she gains weight we’ll look forward to seeing that happen, and we hope that all three of them will be playing together before too much longer. Watch this space.
