The cub “Frenemies,” Cosmo and Hops, are back on center stage again today. It started when Cosmo Bear took a nice snooze on the resting platform in Wild Enclosure #3.
Cosmo was awakened by the sound of someone coming. Who could it be?What do you know? – it’s Hops!Of course, Hops wants Cosmo to wake up!Chomp! A bite on the ear should do the trick!Cosmo woke up and the fisticuffs began: Whap! Smack! Whomp!Hops got what he wanted – Cosmo “wasn’t asleep!”So, having achieved his purpose, Hops leaves the scene by going up.A few minutes more rest, then Cosmo looks up to see if Hops is coming back.Just a few minutes more . . .Guess it must be time to go down and forage again. Gotta eat some more!In Wild Enclosure #4, the cubs finally made an appearance. Do they look chonky, or what?
Which cub is the chubbiest (chonkiest)? We’ll find out when they are weighed at their release time. Until then, we’ll have to guess. It isn’t easy, and we think the weights will be very similar. They still have time to grow some more, so watch this space!
