In the “Wild Side Crib” Lucy is acting the role of “mama bear” as she cares for the other yearlings: Apple, Cade, Rupert, Barrett, and Benji.

Those little boys need maternal guidance and it is wonderful to see how such a young female bear can assume a mothering role with yearling cubs that are the same age as she is.

We have observed this trait many times in the past but, still, it always is heartwarming to see.

Meanwhile, in the “Pink Palace,” Mandy is also acting the part of the “mama bear” as she watches over Grayson, Gracie, Autumn, Sky, and Garland.

The cozy dens are very nice on cold winter days and nights!  With all those furry little bodies, you know it’s warm inside!
