Today we have photos of each of the bears, both cubs and yearlings. We start with the newest cub, Bosco Bear.
In the Acclimation Pen, Bosco plays with the swingy ball.
Bosco stands and looks around, assessing the situation.
He sniffs the air.
Bosco is curious about the enclosure beyond the fencing.
We know that Bosco and the two female cubs are aware of each other’s presence. What are the girls doing?
Viola and Willow Bear are spending more time in the trees.
They climb higher, as cubs do when they are uncertain.
Magnolia’s enclosure is further away.
Magnolia goes into her “backwoods” and lies down.
Lying on her back, with belly exposed, is a vulnerable pose. She must feel secure.
Bumble B. shows that he can be on dry land.
Bumble climbs a tree. Folks were wondering if he really is a bear. Guess so
But soon he returns to his favorite place – his pool.
Each of the bears has an individual personality and has their own tastes. That’s what makes them unique. We’ll continue to watch them develop.
