The last several days have been stormy at ABR. Weather, however, never stops Lisa from caring for the cubs. As Lisa said (in an email): I think things might be a bit better today…I worked 6-1/2 hours in the bear pen yesterday in a driving rain…I was soaked to the bone all day, so luckily it was not as cold yesterday as it is today. I had to lock R.A. in his weaning pen so I could do repairs to the roof and make repairs in the enclosure as the wind was steadily ripping things apart…just another day in Bearville!! I think R.A. may stay locked in the weaning pen for a few days…he has not enjoyed having the entire enclosure to himself since Big Momma left. Now, he has made a HUGE nest of straw in the weaning pen and he stays tucked in for long stretches of time (except to EAT lots of acorns, walnuts and grapes!).
Of course, none of this would be possible without your support. Thank you!
