Looking at the two cubby brothers today, we can see that there has been improvement in the week since their rescue. They share two rooms in Hartley House, and seem to be adjusting to their new quarters.

Rags looks up at the ceiling.

The brothers spend a lot of time sleeping. They are exhausted from their ordeal.

Curator Greg cleans one room, while the cubs are in the other.

He removes the tub that Rags hides behind. Since they don’t have trees to climb, curators give them places to hide. But now he needs to be able to see that Rags takes his medicine.

He puts the medicine mixed with honey in place.

Chomp! Rags eats it in one bite!

In the other room, Scruffy would rather climb. He ignores the honey/meds.

He is doing quite well so far.

He continues to ignore his honey/meds. He wants his brother, Rags!

The gate opens, and Rags dashes in.

The gate is closed so the other room can be cleaned. The brothers are happy to be together!

Back in the cleaned room, the cubs chow down. The curators are watching them carefully, but so far, so good.

The Floating Pear is on the scene again, to check for cubs’ pear shape. This cub seems to be measuring up quite well.

Here’s a reason for cub chonkiness – look at the acorns that kind supporters have donated! Thanks to all!
