In June 2010 ABR held an event, Black Bear Expo, that was a big success in spite of very hot weather. This year we have moved the Expo back to May 21, 2011, hoping that it will be a more pleasant day. Be sure to mark your calendar and plan to come out to the Visitors’ Center in Townsend TN from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to participate in the many educational activities and learn about coexistence with black bears!
The day will include:
music – food – storytelling – a TWRA demonstration – hike to a bear den – photography demonstration – a wildlife woodcarver – games for kids – campsite demonstrations – and more!
