We suggested yesterday that the cubs in WE #1 would be released back into the wild soon, and sure enough, today was the day for the six cubs to return to their natural home! There are two videos that document this momentous occasion, and we will give you links to both. It’s always gratifying to see our cubs return home, and to see how healthy and hefty they are as they go back to the wild. Each of these cubs has plenty of weight to carry them through the winter, in fact they certainly outweigh any wild cubs out there. It is expected, and was proven by the research conducted by former curator Coy Blair, that when they are sufficiently heavy they will find dens very soon and settle down for their long winter’s sleep.
