As you know, bear cubs and yearlings are notoriously hard on the saplings that are growing in the Wild Enclosures. They delight in bending them and seeing them spring back up. Unfortunately, however, that often results in a sapling being broken beyond repair, so the curators have taken up a new project – trying to protect saplings that they planted last year.
Curator Tori, in this Facebook Live, explains how they have been working on this problem, and shows us what the new strategies are. Click here to see the results and learn where they got ideas for dealing with the problem of sapling destruction.
