In yesterday’s post you had a glimpse of the float that ABR volunteers were decorating for the Gatlinburg Christmas Parade and the Townsend Hometown Christmas Parade. Here are photos of the float, to show you how beautiful it looked. The Gatlinburg parade was at night, and we were very festive with all the lights on the float. These photos were taken just before the Townsend parade, which was held in the daytime. We are very proud to announce that we tied for first place in creativity in Gatlinburg and were the first prize winning float in the Townsend parade! Our volunteers deserve the credit for this success – there were many hours of volunteer labor behind the finished float.
In the Townsend parade, our own Curator Janet rode in the sleigh and sang Christmas songs!
