As you know, the curators provide food to the cubs in the enclosures by throwing things over the fences. Inevitably, there are times when the foods don’t reach their intended destinations.
For example, one day recently, a bunch of grapes landed in a small tree. Nessie Bear discovered it and decided that it was the best bunch of grapes ever. She discussed this with her brother, Piper.
Nessie Bear, before she discovered that special bunch of grapes.
Piper Bear, brother of Nessie.
Nessie told Piper that the grapes belong to her! She was very emphatic, and was lying on top of the bunch of grapes to make her point.
Point well made. Piper decided to climb down.
With her brother out of the way, Nessie went about the business of retrieving the grapes.
Success! Nessie got the grapes and broke the branch, too. That’s a plus for her! We know how cubs like to break branches and saplings!
Later on, it started to rain. The cubs went up the tree, as cubs do when it is raining.
There was a bit of a traffic jam as the cubs all tried to get up the tree at the same time. They eventually made it, though, and weren’t seen again until the rainstorm ended.
