Life goes on. We think that the cubs in Wild Enclosure 2 are aware, in one way or another, that Tots is no longer there. When the curators reviewed the video to see when/how Tots re-injured her leg her buddy, Jackie P, was seen nuzzling her briefly. That suggested an awareness of her injury. But obviously, we can’t really tell what the cubs are thinking or feeling, and in the wild life does go on as usual after an event such as this.

This is how Wild Enclosure #1 looked, after recent cubs. This is why the cubs were moved into #2!

Sod arrived and volunteers, Board members, and others unloaded it and spread it out.

Sod in place and sprinklers on!

Thankfully, there was rain today. Hopefully it will continue.

Duke, Daisy Mae, Jellybean, and Jackie P are foraging and playing in Enclosure #2 as usual.

The Gatlinburghers are now in Wild Enclosure #3. Here is Pickles. She and her sister have white chest blazes. Their brother does not.

Pickles foraged near the tree. The other cubs ignored her, and she ignored them.

The cubs were up and down trees as they ignored each other.

Standing her ground, Pickles continued to forage as the others continued to ignore her.

Sundae balanced while trying to retrieve a pool peanut.

The Triple Play (Homer, Champs, and Diamond) investigate a Forbidden Tree.

Their natural curiosity is aroused.

The cubs in Wild Enclosure #4 came out to cool off in the water.

SuBearu, on the left, and Puff are doing well in their captivity.

The curators try to add things to intrigue them and keep them occupied. This time it was hidden pieces of fruit for them to find.
